The mechanical saber logo was modeled after the official SHS Saber mascot. The design was created by a student, and is now an integral part of our team identity.

Team Motto

New in 2005, the Torque motto was suggested by a student on the engineering team, and was adopted immediately.

Team Name ENTROPY

Unofficially, it means "total chaos" - which is what we do for 6 weeks. This team name has stuck with us even though most freshmen have to look it up in the dictionary.
The official definition is: A measure of the disorder or randomness in a closed system, or a measure of the loss of information in a transmitted message. The formula, according to Shannon, gives the entropy H(M) of a message M in bits:
H(M) = -log2 p(M)
Where p(M) is the probability of message M.
